Big Brother lives

“Beyond the point of acceptable debate” were the remarks by James Watson that got him fired, de-listed, blackballed — not too strong a word — by the civilized world.

Oh? reacts John Derbyshire:

I have been following science since my childhood. I did not know that anything was “beyond the point of acceptable debate” in science.

Acceptable to whom?  To the currently reigning panjandrums and their craven minions.

  1. It just brings home the truth that life’s accomplishments are fragile at best. They can be shattered, not becaue of our own actions, but because others deem our accomplishments (or words) as a threat to established opinion, which feeds off what is recognized as political correctness. So it was with Mr. Watson. The man and his life’s works were vilified because of words he used that others chose to interpret as racial prejudice.
