In today’s Chi Trib column, “Obama and the war,” Dennis Byrne gives us a memorable phrase:
There’s no accommodation [by Obama] to changed circumstances [war “winding down, if not nearing its end”], only his iron-willed pandering to anti-war voters.
A principled pandering, you might say.
