WASHINGTON Bowing to Republican pressure, President Barack Obama’s administration signaled on Sunday it is ready to abandon the idea of giving Americans the option of government-run insurance as part of a new U.S. health care system.

There are rumblings tonight that Obama remains committed to pressing ahead for a public health care plan. The announcement that the Obama administration is ready to abandon a public plan seems like another ploy meant to appease the American people so they let down their guard. So far Obama’s rhetoric has lacked credibility. As such I am skeptical of whatever comes out of the Obama administration.

So true, Pat. Recently I read a Heritage Foundation Report that warned against co-ops and how they could easily morph into a public government plan. One way or another, the Democrats will work their way upon the American people.
