  1. Conyers is a senior, well credentialed, serious congressman from Detroit. He is a gentleman and tends to be softspoken, not flip. If he was making a point there was probably a valid point to be made.

  2. Those of us here in Michigan who have followed Conyers’ career know that he takes every opportunity to rant about some (idiot’s) racism. With friends like Conyers, Black Americans need somebody else with the common sense to be leaders.
