This isn’t the first recession we ever had, you know. But it’s taking considerably longer than usual to be corrected. We are not in good hands, chief executive-wise, among other problems.

Buffett to Gates, lotsabucks.

Buffett to U.S. govt., as little as possible.

Buffett to other billionaires, give bucks to charity, not U.S. govt.

Buffett to U.S. govt., hit billionaires with lotsa taxes.

Go figure.

This from Politico about the forced move to Thursday night for the Obama speech:

The White House is viewing it as very consequential, however. “It is a big deal,” the source said. “It shows the House Republicans will do no outreach, nothing.”

Please. After the Pelosi-Reid maneuverings when they were in charge? A little bipartisan perspective, anyone?

Look, he’s just another champion of the working stiff and deserves this huge pension. Those positions are highly competitive. To get the best, you have to pay.

Greenies go blah in the night.

The White House announced Friday that it is shelving a major planned EPA regulation that would have tightened smog standards, dealing a huge blow to environmentalists that had pushed the Obama administration to resist industry pressure to abandon the regulation.

A rare case of the O. admin reversing anti-jobs policy. Only a dozen more BIG ones to go.

Note O’s reasoning:

“I have continued to underscore the importance of reducing regulatory burdens and regulatory uncertainty, particularly as our economy continues to recover,” President Obama said in a statement.

Regs slow things down.  So reduce burdens to help econ recover.  One small step for the nation, very big one for O.
