Catholic writer, Catholic school, ban her!

In 2000 a Catholic high school in Louisiana was liberated from the scourge of Catholic writer Flannery O’Connor:

Why? Because, according to Rod Dreher, writing in The Weekly Standard (Sept. 11), certain black parents protested that the book contains characters who use the words nigger and pickaninny.

A Good Man Is Hard to Find was the book, one of its stories “The Artificial Nigger.”
