Let’s hear it for Kudlow
Here’s an out-and-out pitch for smart-guy Larry, from his own lips:
Fed Hooey
I didn’t want to let the latest cockamamie Fed idea for “sterilized” bond buying pass without a comment. A Wall Street Journal story explained that somehow the Fed will buy more long-term bonds, print new money, and then borrow the money back so it doesn’t cause inflation. It’s all a lot of hooey. Typical Fed tinkering. They can’t seem to help themselves. The dollar has already fallen about 1 percent since this story broke. Gold has jumped.

Catholic mass: With you or your spirit?
Heard at George’s in Oak Park: Man boasting of how he and others get together during mass and in loud voice frustrate new Catholic liturgy by saying at the proper points not “And with your spirit,” as currently the rule, but “And with you also,” as it used to be. So hostile are they to Vatican edicts, so nostalgic for the old ways.
