Jesuit priest defends Israel in pages of ‘America’ magazine | Catholic World Report – Global Church news and views.

The Rev. John J. Conley, S.J., who holds the Knott Chair in Philosophy and Theology at Loyola University Maryland (Baltimore, Md), has written a somewhat surprising—but welcome, in my estimation—piece, titled “For Israel”, in America about the constant, one-sided attacks on Israel. And by “attacks,” I’m not referring to Hamas rockets and bombs, but the typical MSM reports and Ivory Tower rants and rages.

  1. There are a few good Jesuit men left in the order, but what hell it must be for them given that the order has become a hotbed of dissent.

    Israel gave the Gaza stip to the Palestinians along with all the infrastructure they had built (schools, greenhouses, etc.) and cash to build an ongoing society. By way of appreciation, the Palis destroyed the greenhouses, brought in weaponry, elected Hamas as their government and began shelling Israel which they do to this day.

    Israel is in a fight for its survival against Muslims sworn to kill them. I can’t believe that the world, once again, in my lifetime, is silent about the effort to destroy a whole people and in fact takes the side of the would-be killers.
