Sweet: Trump, Clinton campaign teams brawl | Chicago Sun-Times

Lynn Sweet declares as settled fact what’s open to discussion.

Bannon is part of a right-wing movement known as the “alt-right,” a home for white nationalists who are, invited or not, a part of Trump’s winning coalition.

Bannon will be a chief strategist and senior counselor in the Trump White House, as the “alt-right,” with its white supremacist elements, is entering the political mainstream.

An in-my-opinion or two is missing (for what’s bold-faced), unless it’s a between-us-chickens moment for most of her newsie colleagues, not something for a supposed general audience.

Subject: Obama offers “condolences” to Castro’s family

Good morning.

President Obama issued a statement Saturday on Fidel Castro that failed to say anything negative about the Cuban tyrant and that offered condolences to the family that has oppressed Cubans for more than five decades.

Castro, as you are probably aware, died Friday night. Hopefully, he will stay that way. [italics mine]

Sample of what a Jesuit education might get you.
