You go to church? You’re outnumbered.
For the first time ever, fewer than half of Americans say they belong to a church or other religious community. The rate, which hovered around 70% for decades before beginning its gradual decline in 2000, is now only 47%.
Daunte Wright, the 20-year-old Black man shot by a police officer in a Minneapolis suburb Sunday afternoon, had an open warrant for his arrest related to an aggravated armed robbery attempt when he was killed, according to court records.
Wright and another man, identified as Emajay Maurice Driver, a high school acquaintance, had both been charged with first-degree aggravated robbery in a December 2019 incident in Osseso, Minnesota, Hennepin County District Court documents obtained by Fox News show.
Look hard for this info at NY Times. References to his warrant but nothing about this. We do read about his being “the class clown” as a high school freshman. The news that fits, you know.

“This was no accident. This was an intentional, deliberate, and unlawful use of force,” the statement read. “Driving while Black continues to result in a death sentence. A 26-year veteran of the force knows the difference between a Taser and a firearm.”
She meant to shoot him, he says. Sickening, really. He’s a rascal, for sure.
Turns out the risk of getting COVID-19 from touching an infected surface is “generally” 1 in 10,000, according to a new CDC study.
That means “that each contact with a contaminated surface has less than a 1 in 10,000 chance of causing an infection,” the CDC explained in a statement.
Instead, the virus is mainly transmitted via the air — which essentially defeats the purpose of all the disinfecting wipes, and business owners feeling the need to obsessively make certain everything in their respective establishments was thoroughly scrubbed.
“The principal mode by which people are infected with SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) is through exposure to respiratory droplets carrying infectious virus,” the CDC relayed. “It is possible for people to be infected through contact with contaminated surfaces or objects (fomites), but the risk is generally considered to be low.”
The CDC then went on to conclude that “surface disinfection once- or twice-per-day had little impact on reducing estimated risks.”
So if nothing else, perhaps now we can put away the gloves and Lysol.

Routinely, we hear “protest” not “riot.”
Conversely, there is a clear effort in the media to not refer to the Jan. 6th violence as a “riot” as opposed to “an insurrection.” The nomenclature reflects a tight control of how these stories are being framed by the media. The concern is that there is more effort in framing than reporting these stories by some in the media.
There is no question that the violence in Minnesota began as a protest and many engaged in peaceful demonstrations. However, what occurred over the last two nights was clearly rioting as Chief Gannon stated. The fact that people felt justified in telling the Chief to conform his own language to fit a narrative is astonishing.
The scolding of Gannon followed another reporter lashing out at Brooklyn Center City Manager Curt Boganey before he was fired. because it would be “inappropriate.” A reporter immediately…

Reporters scolded Brooklyn Center, Minnesota Police Chief Tim Gannon Monday for using the term “riot” to describe the violence that took place Sunday night following the deadly shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright by a police officer.
Violence erupted in the Minneapolis suburb in response to the shooting, which Gannon suggested was a mistake by the officer who confused her gun with her Taser and fired at Wright as he attempted to drive off in his car.
Demonstrations outside the Brooklyn Center police department grew violent as rioters threw objects at officers and several area were looted.
Makes you wanna THROW UP.
The Centers for Disease Control is an unreliable, politicized agency, in my opinion. But I assume they can aggregate death totals accurately from local sources. For the last year, there clearly have been some excess deaths, from all causes, over demographically predicted norms. . . .
But we also know that the overwhelming majority of people who died from covid, or rather had the word “covid” somewhere on their death certificates, were old and already very sick.
So it is reasonable to think that most “covid deaths” were people who, absent covid, would have died sometime in the next few months or the next year or two. If that is the case, we should see lower than predicted deaths from all causes going forward.

Didn’t even know they had an association, much less that its ready to push back on President Joe and his penchant for transformation of the republic.
For example, the widely accepted narrative that Chauvin kept his ‘knee on the neck’ for 9 minutes has been thoroughly debunked by the prosecution’s own witnesses and the body cams.
There was pressure by Chauvin’s knee, but it was not continuously on the neck, and was mostly on the back and shoulders, according to prosecution medical witness testimony.
Recognizing this evidentiary problem, the prosecution case has shifted from the initial several trial days of claiming that pressure from the knee to the carotid artery cut off blood flow to the brain causing loss of oxygen and inability to breathe, a claim rejected by the prosecution’s own medical experts, to a broader claim that Floyd being restrained while handcuffed in the prone position with pressure from multiple officers impaired his ability to inhale.
