One Hillary Clinton speech more than average CEO salary

Worth every nickel if you count in the expected favors from a Hillary presidency:

The average CEO, using Bureau of Labor Statistics figures, makes $216,100. Clinton’s speaking agent, the Harry Walker Agency Inc., charged about $275,000 a speech and packaged three for Wall Street’s Goldman Sachs at $675,000.

Trump: As president, I would prosecute Clinton. Oh?

If there’s redder meat for the faithful, what would it be? But the headline?

How’s “Asked by Hannity . . . ‘I wouldn’t say’ she ‘seems to be guilty,’ said Trump”?

Read past the headline, people.

Donald Trump said Monday night that he believes Hillary Clinton will likely get away with her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state, but said that as president, he said it’s only fair that he’d look to prosecute Clinton.

Fox News’ Sean Hannity asked Trump in front of a live Nevada audience if his attorney general would go after Clinton should an investigation find she broke the law while serving in the Obama administration.

You have no choice, Trump replied. In fairness, you have to look into that. She seems to be guilty, he said. But you know what, I wouldn’t even say that.

Why Planned Parenthood Really Trashes OTC Birth Control

Even the well-known eugenicist Margaret Sanger drew the line at abortion, in fact presented birth control as happily preventing it.

“While there are cases where even the law recognizes an abortion as justifiable if recommended by a physician, I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization.” — Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood (Planned Parenthood performs about a third of the 1.1 million abortions that occur in the United States every year).

How to say Trump is like Hitler without really saying it. Really?

From a Princeton-Cambridge-Harvard lady of impeccable credentials, in WaPo op-ed run today by Chi Trib:

Like any number of us raised in the late 20th century, I have spent my life perplexed about exactly how Hitler could have come to power in Germany.

Watching Donald Trump’s rise, I now understand.

Leave aside whether a direct comparison of Trump to Hitler is accurate. That is not my point.

My point rather is about how a demagogic opportunist can exploit a divided country.

Her point rather. There it is, a careful dodge Princeton-Cambridge-Harvard style. Bravo!

Later: In that first ‘graph, she pulls a modified Apophasis, a.k.a praeteritio, saying you won’t mention or discuss something but going ahead and doing that..

She’s a classicist, per her resume, so she know what she’s doing. No direct comparison with Hitler, then telling us how Trump’s popularity is like Hitler’s.

Which is bad enough, but then she launches an overwrought, overwritten, overemotional call to action with the message: Get behind Rubio. This is nothing but a letter to the editor, badly in need of cutting.

O tempora, O mores, this lady apparently knows so much (top academic honors and all that) without knowing what the hell to do with it.

Social justice activist syndrome

Chicken or egg problem addressed by Instapundit:

I wonder — does social-justice activism lead to mental and emotional problems, or is it a symptom? I’m thinking the latter.

Leaning that way myself, with this addendum: Indulging in this behavior of course aggravates the condition.

It may start small, with an overdose of unfocused compassion. One thing leads to another . . .
