If Chi Trib and Sun-Times kept up on blogs about guns, they might have had this on their sites’ front pages by 5:45 p.m. today:
At 9:15AM today the Illinois State Rifle Association filed suit against the city of Chicago for their ban on handguns; an NRA suit is already in the works.
Or they might have gone to the CBS-2 site with a 5:04 posting.

Great news! I think that I am going to join the NRA and/or the ISRA! Need to keep the pressure on.
We conservatives are too slow to go on the offensive; the Lefties are always pushing the goal posts forward in their favor. We react and so tend to lose ground.
Too bad that we like our lives and families and friends more than we like power!

I have this nagging sense that bloggers — who are often coinsidered citizen journalists — are big on speed but not not always on accuracy/fairness/depth. I accept the inevitability of their rise and applaud some of their contributions (like this amazingly prolific blog), but I’m too old I guess to be impressed with the idea that the passengers can fly the plane and the students can teach the class. Somebody help me on this…
