"In recent months, the pope has argued for a radical new financial and economic system to avoid human inequality and ecological devastation. In October he told a meeting of Latin American and Asian landless peasants and other social movements: “An economic system centred on the god of money needs to plunder nature to sustain the frenetic rhythm of consumption that is inherent to it."
What does he have in mind? something of government control? He’s not big on political freedom, I’d say.
But it’s never been a priority for the Vatican, which has proven it can live with all sorts of autocracies.

My Catholic friends are very concerned about Pope Francis. One even called Pope Francis evil! His views seem socialistic to me, but then the Pope’s South American roots foster this ideology. Global Warming believers see the issue as the redistribution of wealth with wealthier countries giving billions to poorer countries. Naturally this idea would appeal to Pope Francis, who probably has never studied the issue to know that global warming is not about saving the earth. Instead, it is basically a hoax to control the lives of people and to reduce the influence of so-called powerful nation, whose people don’t deserve to be so affluent when those in other nations are wanting.
