The unprecedented breadth of the Republican majority — the party now controls 31 governorships and 68 of 98 partisan legislative chambers — all but guarantees a new tide of conservative laws. Republicans plan to launch a fresh assault on the Common Core education standards, press abortion regulations, cut personal and corporate income taxes and take up dozens of measures challenging the power of labor unions and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Challenge to the Beltway element in American life.
Look too for increased over-all prosperity in these states and their population growth at expense of other states.
I was feeling pretty down considering the establishment Republicans who are now in control of both the U.S. House and the Senate who try, so often, to be Democrat light so as not to be targeted by the media (and to be loved!). They also think they must be nice to Hispanics to get their votes through enacting favorable immigration legislation.
Then I thought, Jim, how you wrote about the happening in state legislature, etc., where Republican now have control. After all, It is in the states and local jurisdictions where most of the positive action happens.
I am now more positive that this nation will begin to right itself from the path it is on toward Socialism. I also hope that conservatives will hold Boehner and McConnell’s feet to the fire when they try to push through legislation that is not positive for this nation.

Yes, to holding leaders’ feet to fire. It is seen as obstructionism from the right (last time obstructionism was seen as emanating from the left? tell me, please) by the publicity powers that me. Obstructing what? is the issue. It’s the hobgoblin of superstitious minds, to adapt Emerson.
