When a pantry becomes a pharmacy, it’s time to start over, neighbors say

Neighbors not liking the place.

An employee was selling heroin, village shut place down.

Neighbors of the business say the problems at Austin Pantry went much deeper.

The guys hanging around its front door apparently looked like Central and Madison, a longtime busy, busy outdoor pharmacy, a half mile-plus to the east. Trustees’ decision being appealed.

Oak Park not interested in certain aspects of neighboring Austin. We should stay tuned.
