From another story: The woman who survived the sexual assault has been pretty much ignored. But Jacob Blake, the alleged assailant, is now the darling of the Left and the media. Not only did he stand accused of that assault, but he knowingly endangered his own children’s lives by attempting to flee the police (Washington Examiner). The Atlantic piece takes yet another hit. Bolton was on with Martha MacCallum on Fox News. Bolton, who has proven he is not afraid to say very negative things about Trump, says he was, in fact, in the room when the unnamed sources said this happened and it simply did not occur (Fox News). From Brit Hume: Once again Trump is embroiled in a heated controversy. Once again, it is about something he’s alleged to have said. And once again, his reported comments are at odds with his record, this time on veterans and the military. Such disparities have been a constant in his presidency (Twitter).

Funny thing: the Main Stream Media seems not to have noticed just how powerful is the economic rebound revealed by August’s jobs data. A whopping 3.4 million new jobs were created according to the Household Survey. July’s gain was a mere 1.4 million by comparison. If the August gain is reprised over the next few months, we will return to pre-pandemic employment levels by the end of the year. Even better for American workers: the immigrant workforce population (legal and illegal—the data does not discriminate) fell again. It has now been declining for a whole year. All that is needed now: a permanent immigration moratorium to make sure the rebound benefits Americans.

At the direction of the president, the Office of Management and Budget is ordering all federal agencies to “cease and desist” any government training programs that include any reference to “critical race theory” or “white privilege,” RealClearPolitics has exclusively learned. The theory has long been in vogue within academics. Trump now seeks to root it out within the administrative state. Among the ideas underpinning CRT, now formally condemned by the White House, is that the law and all accompanying legal institutions are inherently racist, and that race itself has no biological grounds. The concept of ethnicity is, instead, the product of a white society that uses systems and institutions to advance its own interests at the expense of minorities.

Mending the enforcement gap in “the city of roses.”

Oregon State Police who are now charged with keeping the peace in Portland and its surrounding suburbs have been “cross-deputized” by the federal government, a local news organization revealed Wednesday, meaning that those arrested by Oregon state police officers can be prosecuted by the United States attorney for crimes stemming from the ongoing unrest even if the local prosecutor refuses to.

It may be part of an earlier deal to reduce federal police presence in Portland.

Now it seems the agreement also involved allowing the United States attorney the opportunity to supersede decisions made by the Multnomah County district attorney who noted, early on in the unrest, that he would pursue only “limited prosecution” for certain crimes, including interfering with a peace officer, disorderly conduct in the second degree, harassment, criminal trespass, and even “riot.”

The Multnomah County prosecutors office also said, back in early August, that if a person is arrested for “a misdemeanor or felony crime that causes only financial harm during a protest,” they will be offered “conditional dismissal.”

The Trump administration announced late on Friday that it was cracking down on “critical race theory,” a far-left anti-American ideology that promotes racial division, from being taught in federal agencies and paid for by federal money.

The memo released by Russell Vought, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, called critical race theory “divisive” and “anti-American propaganda,” adding that the far-left ideology falsely promotes the notion that “there is racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should receive a job.”
