“Not sure we need to bring George Soros into this,” said a Fox regular, interrupting Newt Gingrich.

On September 16, Newt Gingrich was cut off the air on a Fox News show, “Outnumbered,” for merely mentioning the role that George Soros is playing in fomenting the anti-cop agenda of the left. Here is what he said.

“The number one problem in almost all these cities [where riots
have taken place] is George Soros-elected left-wing anti-police pro-criminal district attorneys who refuse to keep people locked up.”

“Progressive district attorneys are anti-police, pro-criminal, and [are] overwhelmingly elected with George Soros’ money.”

Gingrich was interrupted by one of the show’s regulars, Melissa Francis, who said, “I’m not sure we need to bring George Soros into this.” The former Speaker of the House replied, “He paid for it. Why can’t we discuss the fact that millions of dollars….” Gingrich was then cut off again, this time by Marie Harf who took Francis’ side.

Newt Gingrich, you are wanted somewhere else. Now.

Had occasion recently to refer to this “fact-checker,” which turns up a lot, especially since Factbook, I mean Facebook, pays it to clean up errors. That’s a pity, actually.

Politifact bills itself as an independent fact checker, and they’ve scored all kinds of accolades for their efforts. Not only did they win a Pulitzer Prize for their work, they have a “fact checking partnership” with Facebook to combat “fake news.” The supposedly independent Politifact is a project of the Tampa Bay Times, which endorsed Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential campaign.

Of course they did. She cleaned up on endorsements. Just couldn’t swing the electoral college.

CHICAGO — Twelve people have been shot, two fatally in another weekend of violence across Chicago, police said Saturday.

Four people were shot early Saturday in the South Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood. They were standing next to a vehicle on the street when an unknown male in a passing dark-colored sedan shot at them, Chicago police said.

“We have seen the enemy, and the enemy” is anyone standing there when I want to shoot.

I know people from New Jersey. Here’s to them.

Politifact is a web site run by some left-wing journalists at the Tampa Bay Times. As you might expect from academic studies of media bias, their content might as well be written by the Democrat Party. But it’s not enough to just declare Politifact a Democrat propaganda operation – I need to actually give you details and examples. And so I will, in the rest of this post.

Powerful Vatican Cardinal Becciu resigns amid scandal

ROME—An Italian cardinal whose former office has been embroiled in a financial scandal resigned suddenly Thursday from his Vatican post and renounced his rights as a cardinal, a surprise escalation of an affair that has overshadowed that Holy See for the last year. The extraordinary move was announced without explanation in a terse evening communique from the Holy See press office.

Cardinal Giovanni Angelo Becciu had been head of the office that oversees the canonization of saints. At age 72, he would still have been eligible for the next eight years to vote in a conclave to elect a future pope. Some Vatican watchers even spoke of him as a serious candidate for the papacy.

But for the last year, he has been shadowed by association with scandal that has touched several of his former subordinates.

He’s also been stripped of his duties (and privileges) as a cardinal. Quite unusual.

Aging gracefully can be a wonderful thing. But when you’re running for president?

Tired Joe Biden has already been put out to pasture by his own campaign and he isn’t even president yet. If that weren’t enough, Democratic veep nominee Kamala Harris is dodging the press like I used to drop third-period French.

We’re on the 24th day of September, and the Biden campaign has “called a lid” on Punxsutawney Joe making any “further” appearances today for the ninth time this month.

The word went out before ten AM.

Biden’s last lid was called on Tuesday morning, just 48 hours prior to the current lid.

“Call a lid” is an old campaign expression meaning the candidate is done for the day.

However, I’ve heard it so infrequently over the years that I had to look it up when Biden’s less-than-lazy campaign schedule became undeniable even to the Complicit Media.
